how to say peony (&) the ten most beautiful words, may

Such ephemeral beauties, peonies are one of the my absolute favorite flowers. I could get lost in their endless folds for days...except that they usually wilt by day three. Despite my love of these flowers, I always get hung up on how to say them. The proper pronunciation is pē-eh-nē, but I always want to say pē-ony...as in rhymes with pony. Is that just a personal problem or do other people have this issue? Speaking of words, here are the ten most beautiful words I've found this May....

requiem a piece of music for the decease

zephyr a soft gentle breeze

miasma a highly unpleasant smell or vapor

dapper neat and trim in dress, appearance, or bearing

recherché  rare, exotic, or obscure

quixotic exceedingly idealistic, hopeful, and romantic verging on unrealistic or impractical

fractalize to realize everything in life is either a microcosm or a macrocosm of everything else

kalon the ideal of moral and physical beauty

viridity naïve innocence

raconteur a storyteller

I especially like the word fractalize and occasionally find myself becoming a bit quixotic sometimes. My friends and family help keep me grounded in reality. And just in cased you missed it, here are the 10 most beautiful words from March and April.
