food for thought: growing out of creativity




Here is some food for thought from Sir Ken Robinson's TED talk: our school systems, as they are now, are not conducive to creativity. I definitely feel children have a more vivid imagination and think that there is a stigma against pursuing artistic/creative endeavors. Despite the speech's overall generalness, there is definitely some truth to his words.

As I was looking up games to stimulate my own creativity I ran across the Toy Hall of Fame.  It's a legitimate thing! Some of the notable inductees from years past are...



a stick and...


...a cardboard box. Which essentially goes to prove, your imagination really is the best toy.
